As a Deputy Superintendent Registrar you will play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory services while helping to shape how modern customer-focused registration services evolve inthe largest and busiest district in the country.
About the Role
- Deliver statutory registration functions across births deaths marriages civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies.
- Act as an officiant ensuring all legal preliminaries are met and as a celebrant at non-binding ceremonies.
- Lead and supervise teams across ceremonies and certificate services.
- Provide expert advice on complex and sensitive registration matters.
- Oversee financial controls statutory records and secure documentation processes.
- Support service improvement and digital transformation programmes.
What you will need:
- Substantial experience within a registration district and strong legislative knowledge.
- Experience supervising staff and delivering training.
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure customer-facing environments.
- Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately prioritise effectively and lead by example.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive service delivery.
