Job Summary

Job Title: Deputy Manager Childrens Home
Location: Wigton Cumbria

Salary: Base salary of 32349.49 with the potential to earn up to 35606.77 per annum including sleep-ins
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week rota basis with 2 days on / 2 days off staggered starts (8am 12pm or 2pm)
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Sleep-ins: Sleep-ins required 62.64 per sleep

Service: Childrens Residential Home
Service Users: Boys aged 618 with emotional and behavioural needs requiring therapeutic residential support
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience Required: Previous experience within childrens residential care EBD social care residential care or youth work. Previous leadership or Deputy Manager experience preferred.

Our client provides therapeutic residential care focused on helping children and young people build resilience confidence emotional stability and practical life skills within a structured home environment.

Number of beds: 4 beds

Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking an experienced and approachable Deputy Manager who can support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care and operational leadership. You will be confident leading shifts supporting staff development maintaining compliance and ensuring positive outcomes for young people.

You will ideally have:
Experience within an Ofsted-regulated childrens residential setting
Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
Experience supervising mentoring or leading staff
Excellent communication and listening skills
Understanding of the challenges faced by looked after children
A willingness to learn and develop professionally
A full clean UK driving licence
Flexibility to support other homes where required
