Job Title: Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home
Location: Derby (DE22)
Salary: Approx. 37620 basic salary sleep-ins
Hourly Rate: 16.50 per hour
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 160 hours per month
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: 45 per sleep
Service: Childrens Residential Home
Service Users: Children and young people aged 817 with EBD
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Childrens & Young Peoples Workforce and QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management or willingness to work towards Level 5
The Home:
This is a 4-bed childrens residential home in Derby supporting young people aged 817 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home provides a safe structured and nurturing environment with a strong focus on safeguarding consistency and positive outcomes.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a confident and supportive Deputy Manager to work closely with the Registered Manager and help lead the home day-to-day.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home
Leading shifts and modelling high standards of care and safeguarding practice
Mentoring coaching and supervising staff to ensure consistent delivery
Supporting care planning risk management key work and placement stability
Maintaining accurate recording and contributing to inspection readiness
Building a positive culture where young people feel safe listened to and supported
Experience Required: Experience within an Ofsted-registered childrens residential home and a strong understanding of safeguarding and residential childcare practice.
