Job Summary
The Data Tooling Analyst supports the implementation maintenance and improvement of data governance and management tooling. You will focus on maintaining high-quality governance artefacts supporting tooling change and ensuring the governance tool provides visibility of standards policies controls conformance rules lineage and accountabilities.
Main responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing use of data governance and management tooling following defined tasks standards and controls.
- Work with the team to ensure the tooling meets needs and support the defined target operating model.
- Support prioritisation of tooling changes including enhancements operational improvements and defect fixes based on assessment of risk and benefit.
- Maintain high quality metadata and governance artefacts within the tool ensuring compliance with business regulatory and policy requirements.
- Monitor completeness and quality of minimum standards across the data governance artefacts catalogue including standards policies controls conformance rules and lineage relationships.
- Carry out activities defined within the Data Tooling Change Management plan.
- Maintain and update reports dashboards and supporting tools used to track delivery risks and KPIs.
- Provide regular progress updates to management escalating issues where required to support delivery against deadlines.
- Identify assess and recommend improvements to data governance tooling and supporting and maintain clear documentation to support tool users and fellow team members.
- Seek guidance and collaborate with team members across the business.
Qualifications :
- Background in governance and knowledge of various regulations like GDPR and Consumer Duty
- Aperture experience
- SQL
- Basic Python
- System integrations/knowledge of APIs
- Automated workflow tools
- Strong stakeholder management
- Knowledge of AWS/S3
