We are a 30-bed family-run nursing home providing personalised care within a homely and welcoming environment.

About the Weekend Cook Role
We are looking for a confident and caring Cook who can take responsibility for weekend catering preparing nutritious meals while supporting individual dietary needs and preferences.
You will play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy high-quality freshly prepared meals in a warm and welcoming environment.
Experience in a care home healthcare or catering environment is preferred along with a strong understanding of food hygiene and dietary requirements.
Role Details
14.35 per hour (reviewed annually) weekend enhancements
Permanent contract
20 hours per week -Saturday and Sunday shifts
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfasts lunches and light evening meals
Provide two lunch options plus desserts
Bake cakes for birthdays and special occasions
Cater for residents visitors and staff
Support residents dietary and nutritional needs
Cater for modified diets and individual preferences
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Help create a warm positive and enjoyable dining experience
Experience & Requirements
Previous Cook experience required
Experience in a care home healthcare or catering environment is desirable
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Understanding of dietary requirements and modified diets essential
A caring and compassionate approach to food and wellbeing
Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
