Job Summary

About the role

You will build strong relationships support individuals into training volunteering and employment opportunitiesparticularly within the growing green economyand contribute to placemaking across new and existing developments to help people feel connected and supported. Alongside this you will coordinate multi-partner projects design and deliver engaging activities and initiatives and champion community voices to ensure local people influence decisions and shape the future of their neighbourhoods driving inclusive economic growth and creating lasting social value.

Skills and Experience Needed

Were looking for someone who is passionate about supporting communities and creating opportunities for others to thrive. Youll bring experience of working with individuals facing barriers to employment including providing one-to-one support mentoring or coaching and have a track record of working with employers to create opportunities such as placements or apprenticeships. Youll be a confident communicator able to build strong relationships with a wide range of people from local residents to partners and stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment. With strong problem-solving skills youll be able to think creatively to overcome challenges and support inclusive outcomes alongside having the ability to manage information track progress and use digital tools effectively. An understanding of the challenges people face in accessing work and an interest in areas such as the green economy or inclusive employment would be an advantage.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027 with a competitive salary along with a great package designed to support you at work and beyond.

  • 36000 per annum pro rata

  • 26 days holiday pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
