Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to work at a government facility in Pwllheli. This is a temporary cover assignment offering part-time evening hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness hygiene and presentation while ensuring a safe and secure environment for building occupants.
Key Responsibilities
General cleaning of office and communal areas
Vacuuming sweeping and mopping floors
Dusting and wiping surfaces desks and touch points
Cleaning kitchen and welfare facilities
Cleaning toilets washrooms and replenishing consumables
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times
Using the sites telephone-based time and attendance system
Candidate Requirements
Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Comfortable working alone and taking responsibility for site security procedures
Ability to act as a key holder and operate alarm systems where required
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable punctual and professional approach
Good communication skills
Right to work in the UK
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to:
Complete BPSS pre-employment screening
Provide valid Right to Work documentation at induction
Participate in site-specific induction and security procedures
Use the mandatory telephone-based time and attendance system
Desirable Experience
Previous experience cleaning office or public sector environments
Knowledge of COSHH and safe use of cleaning chemicals
Experience of lone working and key holder responsibilities
