Casual Leisure Assistants

Grade Apro rata

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Opportunities for both qualified and non qualified Leisure assistants to work in both the wet and dry centres.

We are currently seeking self-motivated and suitably skilled individuals to join the Sport and Physical Activity service team on a casual basis. Working as part of a team in a busy front-line service that will at times require you to be able to priorities customer needs with programme procedures and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and service users complying with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all facilities.
  • Promote and support marketing campaigns and uphold the services brand.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with the Customer Charter.
  • Support the wellbeing of children young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Carry out routine administrative tasks and other duties as required.
  • Evening and weekend work is required as part of the normal working pattern.

The positions are for both qualified and unqualified Leisure Assistants roles but we are looking for individuals with relevant experience in a leisure and customer services environment.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for supervising pools and a RLSS National pool Lifeguard Qualification is the minimum requirement for this role as well as ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness housekeeping hygiene security and safety of the facilities.
