Job Summary
Salary:NJC Grade C: 25989 - 26403 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Please note that the pro-rata salary for this role is between 16542 (C6) and 16805(C7) gross per annum (subject to change depending on agreed working pattern on appointment)
Working Pattern:This is apermanent positionworking 27.5hours per week 39weeks per year(Monday to Friday)
St. Andrews Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Grade C Administrative Assistant to join the friendly and committed team. You will play a key role in supporting our pupils families and staff by ensuring the smooth and professional operation of our busy school office.
About the Role
As our Administrative Assistant you will support the effective running of school administration systems and contribute to clear efficient communication across the school community. You will maintain accurate pupil and nursery records support admissions processes and help keep essential school information up to date including newsletters the school website and other forms of communication.
You will act as a welcoming first point of contact for parents visitors and external stakeholdershandling phone calls emails and other enquiries with tact accuracy and professionalism. The role also includes organising school printing and reprographics assisting with school events and trips and providing initial IT support where required.
Under the direction of the Senior Administrator you will help ensure that all administrative systems remain uptodate compliant and aligned with audit expectations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:

Provide a welcoming reception service handling calls visitors and enquiries.

Work under the guidance of the Senior Administrator to ensure all administrative procedures remain efficient and compliant

Maintain pupil data and attendance records ensuring accurate information on Bromcom.

Deliver general administrative support including correspondence reprographics and newsletters.

Assist with office resources and daily school operations such as deliveries supplies and meal
About You
We are looking for someone who:
-
Experienced in administration with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
-
A clear confident communicator with pupils staff and parents.
-
Able to work independently and as part of a team using initiative where needed.

Competent in ICT including Microsoft 365 and school systems.

Qualified with GCSE Grade C in English and Maths.
Desirable attributes include:

A positive proactive attitude with a willingness to have a go.

Experience working in a school office or with schoolspecific software.

NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Business Administration or equivalent.

An eagerness to learn and develop new skill
This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.
