Rafferty Resourcing is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and sought-after employer in Chichester to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join their growing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and highly organised Account Manager who thrives on building strong customer relationships coordinating multiple projects and managing large retail or B2B customer accounts in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will become the key point of contact for a major retail account ensuring projects product launches and customer requirements are delivered smoothly efficiently and on time.
The Role
As Account Manager you will take ownership of a key retail customer account managing day-to-day communication with customer buying teams while coordinating internal departments to ensure all activities and projects are delivered successfully.
This is a varied role that combines account management project coordination logistics and relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the main point of contact for customer buying teams and building strong long-term relationships
Coordinating and project managing multiple product activities across the customer account
Organising and attending internal meetings demos and project reviews
Documenting meeting minutes and following up on actions to ensure progress is maintained
Liaising with buying departments regarding purchase orders allocations stock quantities and delivery schedules
Ensuring all customer projects and product activities are delivered within agreed timelines
Providing regular updates and clear communication across all areas of the business
Planning and coordinating ongoing account activity and project timelines
Providing product information including order updates to customer buying teams
Ensuring customer orders and allocations are processed accurately and efficiently
Working closely with internal teams including logistics supply chain operations and sales support
Maintaining accurate customer records and updates within internal systems and CRM platforms
About You
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Account Manager or Account Coordinator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across a large customer account.
You will also demonstrate:
Previous experience managing retail or large B2B customer accounts
Strong project coordination or project management experience
Experience working within logistics supply chain product or order management environments
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
Confidence liaising with both customers and internal stakeholders
Strong Microsoft Office and CRM system skills
A positive collaborative and solutions-focused attitude
