Lead Data Center Support Services Technician
Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform hardware installations configurations diagnostics troubleshooting and repairs in the data center environment for servers network devices and storage systems.
- Participate in daily operational support tasks such as racking stacking cabling and component replacements.
- Execute scheduled maintenance firmware and hardware upgrades with precision and adherence to strict change control processes.
- Support and respond to tickets for on-site incidents equipment failures or system alerts escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inventory repairs and infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to implement and optimize processes.
- Always ensure adherence to physical security and safety practices.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery activities as required.
- Contribute to process improvement and best practices for data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in a data center or mission-critical technical environment.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (server/storage hardware networking cabling and power/cooling systems).
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting diagnostics and basic repairs of server hardware.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems inventory management tools and change management processes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing walking lifting to 20kg).
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
