We are seeking a technical leader to represent the company in Taipei Taiwan to work with key vendors to drive the development of hardware audio systems. This role will be responsible for organizing scheduling and communicating development work on the companys next-generation audio systems including research in early-stage technologies management of prototype implementations and empirical testing driving supplier engagements and recommendations based on long-term manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities
Program Management: Own schedule for audio systems and component prototyping and approval for product integration.
Supplier Management: Manage the entire audio supplier lifecycle from identification and qualification to managing technical relationships and driving continuous improvement.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead the technical and operational readiness of audio suppliers owning the schedule from early engineering prototypes through mass production.
System Architecture: Collaborate with internal audio design and algorithm teams to define system architecture and technical requirements.
Quality & Problem Solving: Drive supplier quality by developing and validating manufacturing processes implementing quality plans and leading root-cause analysis for all technical issues. Expert in FMEA and fishbone driving process improvements.
Testing & Validation: Manage all audio test plans including the design and fabrication of prototype test systems and the selection of internal or external test partners.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10 years of experience in electronics and audio systems development.
5 years managing a new product development team.
Deep understanding of the New Product Introductions (NPI) process and phase gates.
Strong knowledge of audio technologies key suppliers manufacturing and test processes.
Knowledge of electrical and firmware system architectures and their impact on audio performance.
Experience writing test plans for research & development efforts and mass production qualification.
Experience developing ML-based audio software tools or products.
Experience with production line setup for a consumer electronics product.
Experience working with product and marketing teams to define requirements.
