Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Ward Nurse Eye Care to provide nursing care support surgical procedures monitor patients and ensure high standards of safety and clinical care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.
  • Assist surgeons and medical staff during eye surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide appropriate post-operative care.
  • Monitor patients conditions and promptly report any concerns to the medical team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical professionals.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene safety infection-control and clinical standards.
  • Support the smooth workflow within the theatre and ward environment.
  • Provide patients and their families with appropriate care guidance and support.
  • Follow hospital policies procedures and professional nursing standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse.
  • Diploma in Nursing / NVQ Level 4 / PHSRC Registration.
  • Previous experience in Eye Care will be a distinct advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong patient-care and clinical support skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with doctors surgeons nurses and other healthcare professionals.
