Lead Devops Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to support the development automation and management of cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) CI/CD pipelines and automation with the ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to deliver secure scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build configure and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and Terraform.
• Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps across development UAT and production environments.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and operational processes using PowerShell Bash Azure CLI or Python.
• Support the deployment maintenance and troubleshooting of cloud-hosted applications applications.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance reliability and security.
• Identify and implement improvements in automation operational efficiency and system availability.
• Collaborate with developers architects security teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth platform operations.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to DevOps best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1012 years of professional experience in DevOps Engineering Cloud Infrastructure or related technical roles with strong hands-on expertise in cloud technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep or Terraform (Bicep preferred).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell Bash Azure CLI or Python.
• Good understanding of cloud networking identity management access controls and security.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently take ownership of tasks and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours when required.

Added Advantages

• Experience Azure SQL SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Azure App Service API Management (APIM) Load Balancers and Virtual Machines.
• Familiarity with Azure security services including RBAC Managed Identities Key Vault and network security.
• Experience with Azure Monitor Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude including familiarity with LLM API integrations.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
