Lead DevOps AIOps Engineer
Job Summary
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to lead automation platform enablement and operational excellence initiatives while driving smarter AI-assisted engineering practices across our teams.
What youll be doing
- Lead DevOps and platform-enablement improvements across CI/CD release workflows deployment automation artifact management and environment provisioning (TeamCity Azure DevOps Artifactory or equivalent).
- Drive automation across recurring deployment environment and operational activities using IaC scripting and configuration management tools (Terraform Ansible Helm PowerShell Python).
- Own Kubernetes cluster lifecycle responsibilities: provisioning upgrading and maintaining clusters using tools like Cluster API (CAPI) managing node configurations and ensuring cluster health and standards compliance.
- Drive GitOps-based deployment practices using ArgoCD or Flux managing application lifecycle across environments including promotion workflows and environment-specific configuration management.
- Strengthen observability and operational intelligence through monitoring logging dashboards alert refinement and incident analysis and apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate root-cause investigation log interpretation and operational workflows.
- Contribute to agentic AIOps capabilities: systems that correlate operational signals generate summaries recommend actions and perform controlled tasks through governed workflows.
- Work closely with Sri Lankan development teams and Norwegian platform counterparts to improve developer experience (DX) removing blockers in builds deployments access and tooling.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and raise team maturity in automationobservability and operational practices.
What We Expect
- 6 years in DevOps platform engineering SRE or infrastructure automation.
- Strong hands-on experience across CI/CD deployment workflows artifact management and environment provisioning.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code containers Kubernetes and cloud services (Azure preferred).
- Familiarity with observability platforms such as Grafana Prometheus or ELK stack; exposure to OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Practical use of AI-assisted engineering tools for troubleshooting configuration review and operational productivity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across distributed cross-cultural teams.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership coordinate across stakeholders and drive complex issues to resolution.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to SRE practices DevSecOps FinOps or internal developer platforms.
- Experience designing or contributing to AIOps agentic automation or AI-enabled operational workflows.
- Background in healthcare regulated or enterprise software environments.
- Relevant certifications in cloud Kubernetes DevOps or security.
- Multi-cluster Kubernetes management including network policies ingress controllers (Traefik NGINX) and service mesh concepts.
- OpenTelemetry and modern observability practical experience with OTel-based pipelines instrumentation and Prometheus/Grafana dashboards.
