Associate Security Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor secure and maintain websites built on WordPress including plugins themes updates and access control.
• Help applications deployed in Microsoft Azure working alongside developers throughout the build and deployment lifecycle.
• Carry out regular vulnerability scans patching and security updates across web and cloud environments.
• Configure and manage security tooling such as web application firewalls SSL/TLS certificates and backup and recovery processes.
• Review code and configurations for common security weaknesses (e.g. OWASP Top 10) and recommend fixes.
• Monitor for suspicious activity investigate incidents and support incident response and recovery.
• Manage user access authentication and permissions across our platforms and Azure environment.
• Keep clear documentation of security policies procedures and configurations.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices and share that knowledge with the team.

Candidate Profile

• 12 years of experience in Cybersecurity IT Web Security or Cloud-related roles.
• Degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Security or a related field and/or relevant industry certification.
• Knowledge of web security risks WordPress security Microsoft Azure applications.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals SSL/TLS firewalls and access management.
• Strong problem-solving analytical and communication skills with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Familiarity with Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud Azure Key Vault and Network Security Groups.
• Basic scripting or automation skills using PowerShell or Bash.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 GDPR or Cyber Essentials.
• Exposure to vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
