Your Role & Responsibilities
As our Trails Guide your primary goal is to provide an all-encompassing safe and premium wildlife experience tailored to the specific needs of each guest
Your primary tasks will include:

- Conduct guided walking safaris and game drives in a safe engaging and highly informative manner
- Interpret local ecology wildlife behaviour birdlife and environmental features knowledgeably for guests
- Maintain open fluid communication with Lodge Managers regarding all guest movements preferences and concerns
- Ensure complete safety protocols are followed for guests staff and reserve animals at all times
- Manage the timeous conscientious care and maintenance of all game viewing vehicles and specialized guiding equipment
- Participate actively in reserve research programs ecosystem monitoring and hands-on conservation activities
- Collaborate closely with Front of House teams and lodge staff to constantly uphold the reserves 5-star service standard
Requirements
Work Experience & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of active experience working as a professional Guide
- Driving Licence: Valid drivers license with 4x4 driving experience and a Public Drivers Permit (PrDP)
- Core Certifications: Valid Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) and a FGASA Level 1 Certificate (minimum)
- Legal Registration: Must be officially registered with NDT
- First Aid: Valid First Aid Level 1
- Education: Grade 12 Certificate is required
