You will be responsible for improving and managing equipment costing models supporting tendering and proposal development and enhancing internal sales and pricing processes. The role plays a key part in ensuring pricing accuracy margin control and scalable systems that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the redevelopment and ongoing management of Excel-based costing tools
- Develop accurate costing models for standard and custom engineered equipment
- Validate cost structures including materials labour fabrication and overheads
- Manage and support tendering estimating and proposal processes
- Review RFQs and lead internal quotation development
- Support pricing strategy for large tenders and project submissions
- Improve internal sales workflows and quotation turnaround times
- Provide technical support for equipment selection and application solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in costing tendering and internal systems
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma BTech or Degree
- 8 years experience in equipment costing tendering or technical sales support
- Experience in engineered-to-order environments
- Advanced Excel modelling skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost drivers and BOM structures
- Proven commercial and analytical ability
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
- Water and wastewater or process equipment
- Fabrication or heavy engineering environments
- Pumps valves or rotating equipment
- ERP systems or costing system development
- Commercially astute and detail-oriented
- Strong technical and analytical capability
- Structured systems-driven approach
- Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on attitude
- Strong leadership ability
