Job Description

Join an established financial-services organisation whose technology platforms support important day-to-day customer and business operations. This is a hands-on senior engineering role in a collaborative on-site team for someone who enjoys improving complex business-critical systems while helping raise the technical bar around them.

Performance Objectives for Year One

Deliver high-quality enhancements to the Oracle Forms and PL/SQL application estate that meet agreed business requirements.
Improve the performance maintainability and reliability of existing application code through targeted refactoring and optimisation.
Resolve complex production and database issues by identifying root causes implementing durable fixes and documenting learning.
Build and strengthen production integrations across REST SOAP and WCF services using appropriate XML and JSON payload handling.
Raise delivery quality by contributing to unit testing test planning code reviews documentation and CI/CD practices.
Mentor and influence fellow developers through technical design sessions practical guidance and sound engineering standards.
