Job Description:
- Lead the design and delivery of fire engineering solutions for multidisciplinary building projects
- Prepare rational fire designs including smoke control sprinkler systems and stair pressurisation strategies
- Manage projects from concept through to construction ensuring quality and compliance throughout
- Liaise with clients architects contractors and project stakeholders
- Review technical documentation tender packages and project deliverables
- Conduct site inspections and provide construction support where required
- Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and technical staff
Skills & Experience:
- 10 years experience in Fire Engineering within a consulting engineering environment
- Extensive knowledge of SANS fire regulations and performance-based fire engineering design
- Proven experience designing sprinkler systems smoke extraction and fire protection solutions
- Experience delivering commercial industrial healthcare residential or mixed-use developments
- Strong leadership project management and client engagement skills
- Excellent technical reporting problem-solving and communication abilities
Qualification:
- BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
- ECSA Registration (PrEng / PrTechEng) essential
