MULTILINGUAL DUE DILIGENCE ANALYST
We have a new and exciting role available within our Corporate Intelligence division in Cape successful candidate/s will join S-RMsdue diligence teamworkingon projects with a global team will service some of S-RMs largest clients globally and contribute tothe growthand successof the business.

We work with some of the most prominent and sophisticated organisations to help them understand partners customers assets and territories across the globe - the healthcare company a private equity firm wants to invest in; the prospective client a bank wants to onboard; the market a multinational wants to enter. We also provide specialised investigative support to law firmsbusinessesand individuals in contentious situations such as litigation commercialdisputesand internal investigations.

THE ROLE

Collectively our people speak more than 40 languages.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable can be part of a team and wants to grow with the this roleyoullbe responsible for:
- Researching and writing intelligence reports on companies and individuals for due diligence and investigatory purposes;
- Providing subject matterexpertiseon the corporate regulatory and politicalrisk environments internationally;
- Conducting research primarily inEnglishand one or more of SpanishPortugueseDutchoranyother European languageson corporate and political issues; and
- Presenting to managers and clients.
The role will be based in our Cape Town officeand is hybrid with two days a week inoffice..
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
We think candidates with the following skills and experience are likely to succeed as a Due Diligence Analyst at S-RM.

Werelooking for someone thatis able toadapt to change and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment this person will have some orall ofthese skills:
- Excellent research and investigative skills;
- Demonstrable experience in research writing planning and organising projects;
- A professionalworkingproficiencyin English;
- Aworkingproficiencyin one or more ofSpanishPortugueseDutchorScandanavianwould be highlyadvantageous;
- Aworkingproficiencyinany of the followinglanguageswould also be beneficial but not essential:French ItalianRussianor other Europeanlanguages;
- As a minimum a bachelors degree. Relevant degrees may include but are not limitedto:economics international relations law finance political science or similar;or equivalent work experience.
- Experienceworking in a relevant commercial environment is desirable but not essential. Relevant commercial experience may include (but is not limited to) work within the corporate intelligence sector law finance investigative journalism energy mining and similar industries.
- Exposure to or an understanding of global corporatepractices and governance.
Successful candidates are also likely to show the following personal attributes:
- A curious mindset and an enthusiasm for research and investigations;
- A clear interest in international business and political affairs;
- A demonstrable understanding of the different forms that corruptionbriberyand influence peddling take
- An ability to thrive under pressure and work to tight deadlines;
- Excellent attention to detail; and
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to work outside the job specification whenrequired.
Candidates must have permission to work in South Africa by the start of their employment.
