Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
As a Mining Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the design development and delivery of electrical systems for mining and mineral processing facilities. Working within a multidisciplinary project team you will contribute to feasibility studies detailed engineering design project execution commissioning and client engagement activities. This role offers exposure to major mining projects and provides an excellent platform for professional growth within a highly respected engineering environment.Education:
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA registration or candidacy advantageous
- Pr Eng registration advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 3-10 years experience in electrical engineering within mining minerals processing heavy industrial or EPCM environments
- Experience with MV and LV reticulation systems
- Knowledge of substations switchgear transformers and protection systems
- Experience in electrical equipment selection and specification
- Exposure to mining infrastructure process plants conveyor systems or materials handling facilities
- Experience with power system studies and electrical calculations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation
- Exposure to commissioning and site support activities
- Strong understanding of applicable industry standards and regulations
- Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
