We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead our national production and operations function within a dynamic precast concrete and paving manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead our national production and operations function within a dynamic precast concrete and paving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all manufacturing and operational activities to achieve production quality safety and profitability targets.
Develop and execute operational strategies that improve productivity efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Drive continuous improvement innovation and cost optimisation across multiple production facilities.
Oversee production planning supply chain collaboration financial performance and operational compliance.
Lead and develop Business Unit and Operations Managers fostering a high-performance culture.
Ensure compliance with SHEQ ISO 9001 OHS legislation and company governance standards.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders customers and service providers.
Deliver strategic reporting and operational performance insights to executive leadership.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering Production Operations Management or a related field.
MBA MBL or Executive Development Programme qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience including 8 years in senior production and operations management.
Proven experience in the precast concrete paving construction materials or heavy manufacturing sector.
Strong commercial financial and strategic leadership capability.
Sound knowledge of production planning supply chain procurement continuous improvement and people management.
Experience with ERP systems (JDE/SAP advantageous).
Valid South African drivers licence.
