IT Support Technician

Job Summary
- Provide first- and second-line IT support to end users resolving hardware software network and system-related issues.
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot desktop computers laptops printers mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
- Build maintain and optimize computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure reliable performance and business continuity.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults escalating complex issues where necessary.
- Install configure and update operating systems software applications and security patches.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Manage user accounts passwords access permissions and email configurations.
- Support network connectivity including LAN WAN Wi-Fi VPN and internet-related issues.
- Perform regular system maintenance backups and recovery procedures to safeguard business data.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets support tickets system changes and technical documentation.
- Assist with the procurement setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies security standards and best practices.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on systems applications and IT security awareness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support long-term business sustainability.
- Participate in IT projects upgrades migrations and infrastructure improvements as required.
- Grade 12 (Matric) Essential.
- Relevant IT Degree / Diploma or equivalent qualification Essential.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in IT with at least 23 years in a management or senior role.
- Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Microsoft 365 administration and security including Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Endpoint management using Microsoft Intune (device compliance policies security baselines)
- SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business administration and governance.
- VoIP systems management and troubleshooting.
- Network infrastructure management including Ubiquiti wireless environments.
- Firewall and security management preferably FortiGate (including VPNs policies and web filtering)
- Understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN VLANs routing DNS DHCP).
- Backup disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Required Education:
Relevant qualification in Procurement Supply Chain Business Administration or related 23 years administrative experience within procurement contracts compliance or supplier administration.
