Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Coordination & Scheduling
- Plan and schedule daily delivery routes for drivers
- Allocate vehicles and drivers based on delivery requirements
- Adjust routes in real-time to accommodate urgent or changing orders
- Ensure optimal vehicle utilisation and route efficiency
2. Driver Management
- Brief drivers on routes delivery notes and expectations
- Monitor driver performance punctuality and behaviour
- Ensure compliance with company policies and road safety regulations
- Assist with basic driver queries and issue resolution
3. Delivery Monitoring
- Track deliveries and ensure on-time arrival at customers
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding delays or issues
- Provide feedback to sales/admin teams on delivery status
- Handle delivery-related customer complaints and escalate where needed
- Monitor and update Geotags (Correct Locations) for client address
- Make use of the Vortex system that shows live deviations and error logs for current routes
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all delivery documentation (invoices PODs) is correctly completed and returned
- Monitor vehicle licensing permits and compliance requirements (especially relevant to liquor transport regulations)
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and legal requirements
5. Fleet Maintenance & Reporting
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance requirements
- Schedule services repairs and inspections
- Track fuel usage and highlight any irregularities
- Maintain basic fleet records and reporting
6. Stock & Risk Control (Operational Support)
- Assist in minimizing losses breakages and theft during transportation
- Ensure correct loading and offloading procedures are followed
- Support stock control processes where required
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 24 years experience in a logistics fleet or distribution role
- Experience in FMCG or liquor distribution is highly advantageous
- Basic computer literacy (Excel email delivery systems)
- Valid drivers licence (advantageous)

Required Education:
24 years experience in a logistics fleet or distribution role Experience in FMCG or liquor distribution is highly advantageous Basic computer literacy (Excel email delivery systems) Valid drivers licence (advantageous)
