FINANCE MANAGER - Durbanville Cape Town (Western Cape)

An innovative and growing Marketing and Media concern is seeking to appoint a skilled Finance Manager to take ownership of its full finance function.
One would describe you as a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving creative environment and contributing at a strategic level.
You possess strong analytical ability with a hands-on approach and take pride in delivering accurate insightful financial information that supports business decision-making.
Main Purpose of the Role
To lead the full finance function across the group working closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen financial performance maintain compliance and provide meaningful commercial insight.
Qualification Skills and Experience Required:
Professionally qualified CA(SA) CIMA or SAIPA
At least 6 years experience in a finance leadership capacity
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a small finance team
Sound understanding of South African financial regulations and compliance requirements
Experience dealing with group structures and intercompany transactions
Strong grasp of IFRS/GAAP principles
Knowledge of tax and VAT legislation is advantageous
Advanced Excel capability and overall strong systems skills
Detail-focused proactive and solutions-oriented
Key Responsibilities:
Taking full accountability for the finance function including reporting budgeting and forecasting
Leading and developing the finance team to ensure high-quality output
Delivering clear and insightful financial reporting to senior management
Supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forward planning
Managing audits and liaising with external auditors
Ensuring full compliance with all statutory and tax obligations (SARS VAT PAYE etc.)
Overseeing cash flow treasury activities and financial risk
Reviewing and enhancing pricing costing and commission structures
Maintaining oversight of transactional areas including debtors creditors and payroll
Driving ongoing improvements in financial controls and processes
