The Field Sales Representative is focused on actively pursuing new leads opportunities and customers in the small and medium sized market segments to drive growth either at a branch or country level. This role differs from others in that it prioritises the acquisition and expansion of the customer base ensuring the continued growth and development of the customers portfolio. The primary objective is to achieve significant market expansion and customer acquisition.

About the Job
  • Identifies and contact prospective customers and generate sales leads in the defined geographical area
  • Presents and demonstrates products and services to customers and negotiate sales terms and contracts
  • Follows up on sales inquiries and provides after-sales support and service
  • Records sales data and maintain customer database in HISA
  • Analyzes market trends and customer feedback and provide recommendations to management
  • Collaborates with Products and Supporting Functions to ensure customer needs are met while providing quotations and tenders
  • Attends sales meetings training sessions and trade shows as required
  • Adheres to sales policies and procedures and comply with relevant regulations
  • Achieves or exceeds sales targets and objectives via HISA: Number of leads and opportunities number of visits and calls YoY Growth in volume and GP (where applicable) of given portfolio quality of pipeline
  • New business development focus
  • This role is responsible for identifying targeting and securing new customers across the freight forwarding and logistics market with a strong focus on building a qualified pipeline and converting opportunities into profitable business.
  • Customer-facing field sales role: The successful candidate will spend significant time in the market meeting prospects understanding customer supply chain needs presenting Hellmanns airfreight seafreight roadfreight customs and contract logistics solutions and driving commercial growth.
  • Performance-driven commercial position: This is a results-focused role measured on new customer acquisition gross profit growth pipeline activity quote conversion CRM discipline and the ability to collaborate with product and pricing teams to deliver competitive customer solutions.

  • Education: Apprenticeship in Office Administration Bachelors degree optional
  • Languages: Advanced in national language; Intermediate in English
  • Work Experience: years of work experience as Sales Representative ideally within the Logistics Industry
  • You are a hunter by nature: You are confident approaching new prospects opening doors creating opportunities and building relationships from the ground up. You are motivated by winning new business and growing market share.
  • You are commercially driven and resilient: You understand that sales requires persistence follow-up and discipline. You are comfortable working with targets managing a pipeline handling rejection and staying focused on converting opportunities.
  • You are customer-focused and solutions-oriented: You take time to understand customer challenges ask the right questions and position logistics solutions that create value. You can work closely with internal teams to turn customer opportunities into executable business.
