Analytics Engineer

Were partnering with a multi-country European property management group that operates a large centrally governed data and analytics platform - built on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI - powering business intelligence across every market it operates in. The organisation is mid-rollout of a new managed self-service BI operating model across multiple countries replacing a previous world of unrestricted database access with a structured certified-semantic-layer environment.

Performance Objectives for Year One

• Deliver Certified Trusted Semantic Models: Design and certify Power BI semantic models on the Fabric gold layer - covering star-schema design DAX measures row-level security and performance tuning - that become the trusted source for reporting across each onboarded country.
• Establish Modelling Standards: Document and roll out the modelling standards (naming conventions certified vs. promoted datasets documentation lineage) that country teams build on top of.
• Own Platform Governance: Mature workspace governance across the Fabric tenant: roles app deployment capacity assignment and the DEV TEST PROD deployment pipeline.
• Build Repeatable Enablement: Roll out training material (workspace structure modelling dos-and-donts thin-report vs. composite-model guidance) that shortens the onboarding curve for each new country going live.
• Mature the Certification Pathway: Operate and refine the tiered certification pathway for backend access converting recurring support patterns into permanent fixes rather than repeated firefighting.
