Actuary – Internal Audit

This role presents an opportunity for a commercially aware and technically strong actuary to gain exposure across multiple business units and geographies within the OUTsurance Group.

The Internal Audit Actuary is responsible for delivering independent risk-based assurance over actuarial environments within the Group. It is well suited to an actuary who can work independently navigate new environments and who enjoys variety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the actuarial audit universe allowing for new legislation emerging risks and stakeholder needs.
• Develop and maintain the annual risk-based actuarial audit plan allowing for regulatory requirements emerging risks and stakeholder needs.
• Plan execute and report on actuarial audits across the OUTsurance Group including local and international entities for both Short Term and Long-Term Insurance.
• Build and maintain relationships with key actuarial and business stakeholders.
• Perform risk-based reviews covering a variety of areas (e.g. Reserving Capital Pricing and Underwriting ORSA and Stress testing Actuarial Governance and HAF compliance).
• Represent Internal Audit in various committees and Actuarial Forums.
• Perform quarterly tracking and validation of actuarial audit findings.
• Support and contribute to broader Internal Audit engagements (e.g. operational financial or IT audits) should actuarial expertise be required.
• Engage with the Head of Actuarial Function External Audit and non-executive directors of the Board Audit Committee as needed.

Qualifications :

• Relevant degree in Statistics Mathematics Actuarial Sciences Data Science etc.
• Minimum 6-8 years actuarial experience.
• Qualified Actuary preferred CERA designation advantageous.
• Prior Internal Audit or Risk Management experience advantageous.
• Experience in both Short and/or long-term insurance advantageous.
