Job Summary
- Take care of a group of gas carrier ships (LNG/LPG) and keep them safe and ready to sail
- Plan repairs maintenance and inspections so ships stay in good condition with no delays
- Track each ships performance and costs using the companys maintenance and fleet software
- Organise and watch over dry-docking work from planning to being there in person
- Pay close attention to cargo and gas-handling systems making sure they are safe and working well
- Work with classification societies port authorities and parts suppliers to sort out problems fast
- Check and approve orders for spare parts and supplies while keeping within budget
- Visit ships often to make sure they follow ISM ISPS MARPOL and IGC Code safety rules
- Look into faults accidents and close calls then put fixes in place to stop them happening again
- Write clear reports on ship condition and performance for managers and owners
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering Naval Architecture or a similar field; a Class 1 Marine Engineer certificate is a plus
- At least 5 years of related experience ideally on gas carriers (LNG or LPG)
- Good knowledge of shipping rules gas-handling systems and maintenance / fleet software; sailing experience as Chief Engineer is welcome
- Clear communicator and good problem-solver who is willing to travel and visit ships when needed

Required Skills:
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field. An MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development in the submarine cables renewable energy or telecom industry. Strong understanding of cable systems and related applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions clearly. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
