Technical Procurement Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Procurement Manager to join our Supply Chain team in this pivotal role you will be the key link between innovation and supply chain execution ensuring the successful sourcing of critical electronic components for our hearing aids and accessories.

You will play a vital role in securing our supply chain resilience by supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and leading 2nd Sourcing initiatives. You will work closely with a global matrix organization including R&D Engineering Quality and Strategic Procurement to identify cost-effective components that meet the strict standards of medical device manufacturing.

  • NewProduct Sourcing
    • Work with R&D and Strategic Procurement to define technical and cost requirements for hearingaid components (e.g. ICs MEMS microphones batteries PCBs plastics connectors).
    • Identify and evaluate new suppliers for electronic and mechanical parts used in smallformfactor medicaldevice products.
    • Support supplier qualification sample testing and firstarticle inspections for new products.
  • 2ndSourcing & Risk Mitigation
    • Lead or support 2nd sourcing projects for key components to reduce single source risk and improve cost partnering effectively with measure owner in strategic procurement.
    • Compare current and alternative suppliers on price quality capacity and lead time.
    • Help launch second source parts through validation change control and documentation.
    • Technical & Supplier Evaluation
    • Review technical data drawings and process capability of suppliers (e.g. SMT injection molding etc.).
    • Coordinate reliability tests and firstarticle inspections where needed.
    • Ensure suppliers meet basic medicaldevice quality expectations.
  • CostDown & Value Engineering
    • Support costreduction activities on new and existing components including designformanufacturing and partcommonization.
    • Analyse total cost impacts (unit price lead time inventory obsolescence) for sourcing decisions.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration
    • Be the main procurement contact between R&D Engineering Quality Manufacturing Supply Chain and suppliers for sourcing and qualification topics.

More about you:

You are a technically savvy procurement professional with a solid foundation in electronics manufacturing. You are comfortable diving into technical data and drawings and can communicate effectively with both engineers and suppliers. We value analytical rigor and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelors degree in Electronics Electrical Mechanical Materials or Supply Chain.
  • 7 years of experience minimum in sourcing procurement or engineering within the electronics medical device or consumer hardware industry. Experience with hearing-aids or audiology products is a distinct advantage.
  • A practical understanding of electronic components (PCBs ICs MEMS) and precision plastic parts used in small-form-factor devices.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with PLM and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Arena Windchill) is essential.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
