Supplier Quality Engineer Electronics
This position is to Support the SQM-Team in supplier quality improvement and harmonization
activities utilizing quality tools problem-solving methodologies and coordinating
resolution supplier quality issues and escalations.
Develop maintain monitor and ensure good application of supplier performance
control requirements to increase the transparency of cost to poor quality and ensure
compliance to applicable regulations
More about the role:
- Support the SQM team in supplier quality improvement and harmonization activities utilizing quality tools and problem-solving methodologies to resolve supplier quality issues and escalations.
- Develop maintain monitor and ensure the good application of supplier performance control requirements to increase the transparency of cost to poor quality and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support supplier quality assurance and control activities monitoring performance indicators to ensure compliance with quality requirements and international regulations.
- Act as a point of contact for supplier quality concerns collaborating with Sonova locations and suppliers globally.
- Process supplier nonconformities as part of supplier control activities and ensure the implementation of SQM requirements in terms of containment actions root cause investigations and preventative measures.
- Evaluate the performance and capability of our suppliers and services developing and implementing measures to ensure a high level of supply chain stability.
- Enforce quality requirements with suppliers and organize quality meetings and escalations.
- Process 8D/SCAR reports and coordinate all related activities with the support of the respective specialist departments.
- Coordinate and follow-up on corrective and preventative actions and support in supplier audits and new supplier activities including part and process qualification and validation.
More about you:
- Education: A graduate degree in engineering science quality or another technical field or 8 years of work experience in supplier quality management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001. Knowledge of QSR 820 MDSAP and MDR is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment in a quality-related role with practical experience in supplier quality management and contract manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of electronic commodities including batteries PCBs chargers and electro-mechanics and related production technologies for electronic components. Experience with 8D/SCAR methodologies quality reports improvement programs and supplier audits is essential.
- Personal Attributes: You are self-confident well-organized reliable and pay close attention to detail. You are open and communicative and perform well in teams.
- Leadership: Familiarity with navigating changing environments driving continuous process improvements and setting priorities from a global harmonization perspective.
- Language & IT: Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are mandatory. Vietnamese or German language skills are a plus. Advanced MS Office skills are required and programming or AI tools knowledge is beneficial.
- Travel: You are willing to travel (approx. 30% of the time) primarily within the APAC region.
