Senior M&EM&E Engineer (HVAC)

What you will do:
As our Senior Electrical Engineer you will be the technical owner for all the electrical aspecrs of HVAC systems in commercial and mission-critical buildings you will also :
Electrical Design & Engineering
Lead the electrical design of HVAC systems for commercial buildings
Produce and/or technically review:
SingleLine Diagrams (SLD)
Schematic diagrams
Panel GA drawings
Wiring diagrams and termination schedules
Equipment electrical specifications
Power Distribution & Equipment Design
Design and validate electrical systems for HVAC equipment including:
Watercooled & aircooled chillers
AHUs MAUs FCUs VAV systems
Chilled waterpumps condenserwaterpumps
Cooling towerssystem
Engineer and review:
Lowvoltage power distribution
MCCs and control panels
Motor starters (DOL stardelta soft starter)
VFD sizing and coordination
4.Mechanical (HVAC) Design
Reviewthe mechanical design and system selection for HVAC systems
Review:
Cooling load calculations
Ductwork and piping layout design
Air distribution and ventilation strategies
Pressuredropsand hydraulic calculations
Develop and validate:
HVAC system schematics and flow diagrams
Equipment layouts and plantroom design
Ensure optimal system selection based on:
Energy efficiency
Lifecycle cost
Redundancy and reliability requirements
5. Controls Integration & Coordination
Define and review HVAC control philosophies and sequences of operation
Ensure proper integration between:
Mechanical systems
Electrical systems
BMS (Building Management System)
Coordinate with:
Architects
Structural engineers
Other MEP disciplines
Resolve interface issues across disciplines during design and execution
6. Codes Standards & Authority Compliance
Ensure full compliance with applicable standards including:
IEC / IEEE (electrical)
ASHRAE / local mechanical codes (mechanical HVAC)
Prepare documentation for:
Authority submission and approval
Consultant technical reviews
Mitigate compliance risks early in design to avoid site rework or approval delays
7. Project Execution & Commissioning
Provide technical support during construction and installation
Review shop drawings and material submittals (M&E)
Ensure proper system handover documentation and closeout
What we look for:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
>5 years of electrical engineering experience with strong exposure to:
HVAC systems in commercial buildings
Largescale MEP or building solutions projects
Power distribution systems for HVAC equipment
MCCs VFDs motor protection and control wiring
HVAC electrical interfaces and sequence of operations
HVAC system design (chillers airside waterside)
HVAC control strategies and system optimization
Proficient in:
AutoCAD
Electrical/Mechanicalcalculations and documentation
Familiar with commissioning processes and site support.
