Medical Oncologist

Position: Oncologist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Oncologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The General Oncologist will be responsible for diagnosing treating and providing comprehensive care to patients with various types and stages of cancer. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans while also offering emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostic tests to determine the type stage and extent of cancer in patients.
• Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on the patient's medical history test results and individual needs. Treatment options may include surgery chemotherapy radiation therapy immunotherapy and targeted therapies.
• Treatment Administration: Administer cancer treatments including chemotherapy immunotherapy and other medications and closely monitor patients for side effects and responses to treatment.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with surgeons radiation oncologists radiologists pathologists nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to cancer patients.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their cancer diagnosis treatment options potential side effects and prognosis.
• Symptom Management: Manage cancer-related symptoms pain and side effects of treatment to enhance the patient's quality of life.
• Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including medical histories test results treatment plans and progress notes.
• Compassionate Care: Offer emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families addressing their concerns and providing guidance throughout the cancer journey.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited oncology fellowship program.
• Board certification in Medical Oncology.
• Strong clinical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
