Credit Ratings is an integral part of the Global Ratings Services teamcomprisinga diverse group of 1400 analysts spread across key financial hubs worldwide. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality insights and exceptional client service across all industry sectors.

Infrastructure pod in SSEA is a part of the Corporate & Infrastructure team covering credits in India and ASEAN. Infrastructure (including Utilities) credit analysis focuses on essential long-lived assets and ring-fenced project financingsassessing contractual frameworks demand and operating risks sponsor strength financial flexibility and resilience under stress. The teams work supports capital formation for critical infrastructure and helps the market understand fast-evolving subsectors such asrenewables data centres and digital infrastructure amongst other asset classes.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead coach and develop analysts building both credit expertise and the ability to effectively leverage digital and AI-enabled tools.
  • Drive adoption of modern practices within the team by embedding GenAI advanced analytics and automation into monitoring drafting research and workflow execution improving speed consistency and analytical depth while maintaining strong human judgement and accountability.

Core Analytical & Delivery

  • Lead high-quality credit and capital markets analysis across assigned issuers and sectors delivering forward-looking insights that support the delivery and maintenance of ratings monitoring activities risk assessments and rating committee discussions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Translate issuer and sector developments into clear decision ready analytical perspectives integrating scenario analysis and forward-looking risk considerations to support rating committee discussions.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements partnering with Data Technology Compliance In-Business Control and Methodology teams to scale best practices.

Stakeholder & Market Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with issuers investors and market participants through credible insight-led engagement.
  • Communicate complex data-informed analysis clearly while maintaining independence and objectivity.

Risk Management and Operating

  • Ensure strong analytical execution with clear documentation high-quality outputs and adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain oversight of portfolio risk to identify and escalate emerging risks early.
  • Apply disciplined oversight to the use of AI and automated outputs ensuring transparency explainability and appropriate controls.

What Were Looking For:

Practice Nuances

  • Strong analytical leadership in Utilities Infrastructure and preferably Project Finance credits.
  • Ability to work in complex and fast evolving emerging markets across multicultural team and stakeholders in India and ASEAN.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Experience mentoring colleagues and/or managing small teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement including the adoption of AI and automation.

Core Analytical & Delivery

  • Strong credit expertise and ability to deliver high-quality output at pace.
  • Practical experience using GenAI data and advanced analytics to enhance research monitoring drafting and workflow efficiency while maintaining strong validation and analytical discipline.

Stakeholder & Market Engagement

  • Strong relationship management skills and a proactive service mindset communicating complex analytical insights clearly and credibly while maintaining analytical independence.

Risk Management and Operating

  • Disciplined oversight of portfolio risk ensuring emerging risks are identified early escalated appropriately and managed in line with governance frameworks and decision rights.

Additional Information

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent required. A masters degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued. We welcome candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking.
  • Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
  • Candidates who reach the final stage of the interview process will be asked to attend at least one in-person interview at their nearest S&P Global Ratings office before an offer can be extended.
