Telecoms/SCADA Engineer

Validation of Construction Drawings

• Review and validate SCADA telecom construction drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Collaborate with design and system integration teams to resolve any discrepancies or technical issues in the drawings.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all technical drawings for reference and future upgrades.

Site Supervision

• Oversee the installation of SCADA-related telecom systems on-site including:
  • SCADA communication networks (Ethernet IP/MPLS Fiber Optic)
  • Remote Terminal Units (RTU) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Data Concentrators
  • Control center connectivity Human-Machine Interface (HMI) integration
  • Redundant communication architectures for SCADA systems
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and approved drawings during installation.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control compliance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the construction and integration teams.

Installation Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

• Supervise the deployment of SCADA communication systems and their proper integration with field devices and control centers.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of SCADA telecom equipment.
• Develop and implement testing and validation procedures for SCADA communication networks.
• Lead commissioning activities to verify system functionality network reliability and real-time data acquisition.

Integration

• Ensure seamless integration of SCADA telecom systems with other monorail subsystems (signalling power supply BMS access control telecom networks etc.).
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address system integration challenges and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor system performance and optimize SCADA network reliability security and redundancy.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Electrical Engineering Control Systems or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in SCADA telecom engineering preferably in rail monorail or metro projects.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA communication protocols (Modbus DNP3 IECOPC-UA).
• Expertise in industrial networking (IP/MPLS VLAN VPN Firewall Fiber Optic communication).
• Experience with SCADA system deployment integration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
