Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA regulations (KSA) and Bahrain NBR requirements
• Handle withholding tax (WHT) calculations filings and reconciliations
• Support corporate income tax and Zakat computations where applicable
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory tax filings

Accounting & Reconciliations

• Maintain accurate tax ledgers and ensure proper posting of tax-related journal entries
• Perform monthly tax account reconciliations (VAT payable WHT payable etc.)
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Regulatory & Advisory Support

• Monitor changes in tax legislation in KSA and Bahrain and assess impact on business
• Provide guidance to finance and operational teams on tax implications of transactions
• Support tax audits assessments and queries from tax authorities

Audit & Documentation

• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Maintain proper tax records supporting schedules and compliance files
• Assist in responding to audit queries and resolving discrepancies

Process Improvement

• Support automation and improvement of tax reporting processes
• Ensure alignment with SGS global tax policies and internal controls

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
• Professional qualification (ACCA CPA CA or equivalent preferred)
• 5-10 years of tax or accounting experience in a multinational or large organization
• Strong knowledge of KSA VAT (ZATCA) and Bahrain tax regulations
• Experience in VAT WHT and financial reporting
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills (SAP/Oracle preferred)
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

Additional Information :

• Experience in multinational companies (preferably inspection services or industrial sectors)
• Exposure to GCC tax environment (KSA Bahrain UAE)
• Experience in audit support and financial compliance reporting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
