Surveying Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Surveying Manager to lead all site survey and setting-out activities for the Terminal 6 Substructure Works package at King Salman International Airport (KSIA) Riyadh. Spanning an approximately 1250-metre-long 180-metre-wide terminal footprint formed of alternating garden and processor blocks this project demands rigorous dimensional control across mass earthworks foundations basement elements and the Level 00 slab. You will manage the establishment and maintenance of site control networks coordinate closely with the design and BIM teams to confirm levels and grid references and oversee setting-out and as-built surveys throughout each phase of substructure construction. A key part of the role involves verifying excavation profiles and formwork positioning against design tolerances as well as confirming accurate placement of precast concrete elements incorporated into the substructure scope. You will be responsible for producing comprehensive survey records as-built drawings and quantity/volume verification to support both quality assurance and commercial reporting requirements. Given the sites scale and the presence of multiple contractors operating in adjoining zones precision and clear communication with construction technical and QA/QC teams are essential to avoid coordination errors. This role suits a highly detail-oriented surveying professional with deep experience on large-footprint civil and building projects comfortable managing a survey team and maintaining rigorous standards across a demanding high-visibility aviation megaproject.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage setting-out and as-built surveys for earthworks foundations basement elements and L00 slab
• Maintain site control networks and coordinate with design/BIM teams on levels and grids
• Verify excavation profiles formwork positioning and precast element placement
• Produce survey records as-built drawings and quantity verification for earthworks
• Ensure survey compliance with project tolerances and quality requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years experience in construction surveying including large-scale earthworks and substructure works
• Proficiency with total stations GPS/GNSS and survey software
• Experience on airport or similarly large-footprint projects preferred
