Service Technician (Workshop & Field)

This role focuses on the maintenance repair and overhaul of critical rotating equipment. You will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support both in a workshop environment and on-site at various client locations primarily within the Oil & Gas and Power sectors.
Key Requirements & Experience

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience servicing rotating equipment including pumps compressors turbines and hydraulic motors.
• Industry Background: Prior experience within the Oil & Gas or Power sectors is highly preferred.
• Technical Education: * A 3-year Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • OR Vocational technical training in the Mechanical Fitter trade.

Core Technical Competencies

• Precision Measurement: Well-versed in the use of precision tools such as bore gauges micrometres and callipers.
• Alignment: Expert in performing shaft alignments using both traditional dial gauges and modern laser alignment machines.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex machine cross-sectional drawings and technical manuals.
• Testing: Familiarity with basic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methodologies.
• Instrumentation: Basic foundational knowledge of instrumentation.

• IT Literacy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel.
