Senior Contracts Commercial Manager

Job Summary
Were looking for an experienced Senior Contracts/Commercial Manager to join our construction organization in Riyadh Saudi this pivotal role you will oversee all aspects of contract management and commercial operations for our positive contract construction projects. You will be responsible for protecting the organizations interests while fostering strong commercial relationships with clients contractors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills meticulous attention to detail and the ability to make decisive decisions in complex commercial situations.
- Draft review and negotiate construction contracts including terms conditions and commercial provisions
- Analyze contract documents and commercial implications to identify risks and opportunities
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle from tender stage through project completion and final closure
- Ensure all contracts comply with Saudi Arabian regulations local laws and organizational policies
- Coordinate with legal finance and project management teams to align commercial objectives with project goals
- Prepare comprehensive commercial reports analyses and performance metrics for senior management
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability and minimize exposure
- Identify assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout project execution
- Monitor contract performance against agreed KPIs and commercial benchmarks
- Handle contract disputes claims and variations in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain organized contract documentation and maintain a centralized contract management system
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial stakeholders and partners
Qualifications :
- Minimum 20 years of professional experience in contracts and commercial management within the construction industry
- Proven expertise in positive contract management and commercial operations
- Advanced knowledge of construction contract types and standards (FIDIC AIA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of contract law legal compliance and risk management principles
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex commercial terms and negotiate favorable outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working in international or multicultural project environments
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements and local business practices (preferred)
- Experience with claims management and dispute resolution (preferred)
- Professional certification in contracts management or commercial law (preferred)
