We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering consultancy team in Saudi Arabia. This role is central to delivering high-quality code-compliant mechanical systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial residential industrial and mixed-use developments across the Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and coordinating HVAC Plumbing and Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems while ensuring full compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international engineering standards. Responsibilities:
Prepare mechanical design drawings layouts calculations and technical specifications
Design HVAC Plumbing Drainage and Fire Fighting systems for various project types
Coordinate with architects electrical engineers structural engineers and project consultants
Ensure all designs meet Saudi Building Code (SBC) regulations and project-specific requirements
Review technical documents material submittals and engineering calculations
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
Attend coordination meetings and assist in resolving design-related challenges
Deliver accurate and high-quality engineering deliverables within project timelines

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of overall experience in mechanical design engineering
At least 2 years of relevant experience working in Saudi Arabia
Proven expertise in HVAC Plumbing and Fire Life Safety (FLS) system design
Solid understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and applicable engineering standards
Experience working in engineering consultancy or MEP project environments
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP HAP or other relevant engineering software
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Required Skills:
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects Solid understanding of cost estimation cost control tendering processes and contract management Proficient in interpreting construction drawings specifications and technical documents Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving abilities Competent in MS Office and industry-standard quantity surveying software Demonstrated ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
