We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG/EMG/NCS) to join our healthcare team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will perform specialized neurodiagnostic procedures including Electroencephalography (EEG) Electromyography (EMG) Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP) and Visual Evoked Responses (VER). The role requires technical expertise in neurophysiology patient care and the operation and maintenance of advanced diagnostic equipment to support accurate neurological diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform EEG EMG NCS VEP and VER procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Assess patient history symptoms and clinical information to determine appropriate neurodiagnostic testing requirements.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the tests obtaining relevant information and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Record monitor and analyze neurodiagnostic data to support physicians in diagnosing neurological disorders.
- Identify troubleshoot and minimize artifacts during testing to ensure high-quality recordings and accurate results.
- Operate and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records and files.
- Prepare release and file official neurodiagnostic reports in a timely manner.
- Support the daily operations of the EEG and EMG laboratories.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information at all times.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and minimizing workplace hazards and risks.
- Adhere to hospital infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Comply with the hospitals Code of Conduct and Patient and Family Rights standards.
- Assume responsibility for all safety-related aspects of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department management.
- Strong knowledge of EEG EMG NCS VEP and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Understanding of motor and sensory nerve conduction pathways and neurological disorders.
- Ability to correlate patient history and clinical presentations with appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Experience in handling operating and troubleshooting neurodiagnostic equipment.
- Excellent patient-care communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences or a related healthcare field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in EEG EMG NCS or related neurodiagnostic services.
- Certified EEG/EMG Technician certification is preferred.
- Valid registration and professional license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
