Network Planning GIS Specialist

Job Description

Overview

Support strategic network planning and infrastructure development through advanced GIS analysis ensuring accurate spatial data and enabling informed decision-making for network optimization and expansion.

Your role

• Develop maintain and manage GIS databases covering routes stops depots and network assets.
• Perform spatial analysis to support route planning service coverage and accessibility improvements.
• Support planning of network expansions BRT corridors and depot locations.
• Produce high-quality maps visualizations and spatial reports for stakeholder decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy consistency and integration of GIS data across planning and ITS systems.
• Coordinate with transport planners data analysts and operations teams on network updates.
• Support scenario modeling for service changes demand shifts and infrastructure upgrades.

About you

• Bachelors degree in GIS Geography Urban Planning or Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience in GIS and spatial analysis preferably in transport or infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in ArcGIS QGIS or equivalent GIS platforms.
• Experience with spatial modeling data management and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with public transport systems and network planning concepts preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
