Mechanical Estimation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimation Engineer to support pre-contract activities related to mechanical works including piping systems equipment installation and associated infrastructure for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience preferably in Gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia and must possess strong expertise in project estimation tender preparation and cost analysis for mechanical scopes.

• Analyze project drawings specifications and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical works.
  

• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdowns for piping mechanical equipment valves supports and installation services.
  

• Coordinate with procurement engineering and construction teams for material take-offs and resource planning.
  

• Identify project risks and propose cost-effective solutions and alternatives.
  

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and clarify technical requirements with clients and consultants.
  

• Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids within deadlines.
  

• Update and maintain cost databases historical pricing records and estimation tools.
  

• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the bidding phase.
  

• Conduct post-tender reviews and handover to execution teams upon contract award.
  

• Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering.
  

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation for construction projects.
  

• Experience in piping systems mechanical equipment installation and related infrastructure works.
  

• Gulf/Saudi experience is highly preferred.
  

• Strong understanding of mechanical construction practices and material specifications.
  

• Expertise in cost estimation software (e.g. CCS Candy Primavera or similar).
  

• Excellent knowledge of piping codes (ASME API etc.) and mechanical standards.
  

• Proficiency in reading P&IDs isometrics and general arrangement drawings.
  

• Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills.
  

• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
