Job Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a major organisation for an experienced and strategic General Manager (Logistics & Supply Chain) to be based in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. This is a Full-Time leadership position responsible for the entire scope of our clients supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence develop long-term strategy and lead a dedicated team to achieve key business objectives. This role is critical for ensuring the efficiency cost-effectiveness and resilience of the companys supply chain network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall logistics and supply chain strategy ensuring it is aligned with the organisations commercial goals.
  • Direct and manage all end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing inventory management transportation and distribution.
  • Lead mentor and empower the logistics team fostering a culture of high performance collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee departmental budgets manage operational costs and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong productive relationships with key suppliers carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
  • Analyse performance metrics and data to identify bottlenecks and implement robust process improvements across the supply chain.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to local and international trade laws customs regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other senior management and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated operational workflow.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within logistics supply chain management or a related discipline.
  • A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Logistics or a relevant field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g. CILT CIPS) is highly advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles including demand planning inventory control and transport management.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrable experience in budgeting cost control and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large diverse team.
  • Outstanding analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the Saudi Arabian or wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
