Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities | Perform preventive maintenance troubleshoot and repair electrical systems motors transformers switchgear and other electrical equipment used in paper manufacturing Install upgrade and modify electrical wiring lighting and control systems supporting paper production equipment Maintain electrical drawings schematics and documentation for the paper mills electrical infrastructure Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes safety standards and regulations specific to the paper industry Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical systems Collaborate with other maintenance trades and production departments as needed to support paper manufacturing operations Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the paper mill |
Min. Education & Skills Required | Technical diploma or associates degree in electrical engineering technology or a related field 3-5 years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing environment preferably in the paper industry Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics diagrams and technical documentation Knowledge of electrical codes safety standards and regulations applicable to paper manufacturing Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is an advantage |
