Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Specialist to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As a Database Specialist you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our organizations database systems to ensure optimal performance security and reliability.

• Design implement and maintain database systems using various database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL)
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support business operations and reporting needs
• Implement data models and normalization techniques to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
• Monitor database performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies
• Establish and maintain database security measures including user access controls and data encryption
• Perform regular database backups and develop disaster recovery plans
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database systems with applications and ensure data integrity
• Implement and manage ETL processes for data warehousing initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and best practices including cloud-based solutions

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration or a related role
• Proficiency in multiple database management systems (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL)
• Strong SQL programming skills and experience with database design and implementation
• Expertise in data modeling normalization techniques and performance tuning
• In-depth knowledge of database security best practices and access control mechanisms
• Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g. Amazon RDS Azure SQL Database)
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Relevant database certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are preferred
