Cost Accountant

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and managing cost data to help control and reduce costs in the organization
  

• Preparing and maintaining detailed cost reports to assess the cost structure of the business
  

• Conducting cost analysis for various departments to identify opportunities for cost reduction
  

• Reviewing and analyzing financial statements budgets and other related financial documents
  

• Maintaining accurate records of inventory production costs and other related expenses
  

• Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and trends
  

• Ensuring that all costs are recorded and reported according to accounting standards
  

• Liaising with other departments (such as production procurement and finance) to gather necessary cost information
  

• Conducting periodic audits to ensure cost allocation and cost control procedures are being followed
  

• Providing recommendations on pricing cost reductions and profit maximization strategies
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
  

• Minimum of 45 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting
  

• Professional certification (e.g. CMA CIMA) is a plus
  

Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  

• Good understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
  

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  

• Excellent communication skills for working with different departments
  

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  

• Knowledge of budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
