JOB SUMMARY

The Consultant Plastic Surgery will be responsible for providing comprehensive high-quality care to patients across the full scope of Plastic Surgery. The role involves the assessment diagnosis and management of a wide range of plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgical conditions while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical care. The Consultant will also contribute to the supervision and education of junior medical staff and participate in departmental administrative and research activities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides high-quality plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgical care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards and best practices.
  • Conducts comprehensive consultations assessments diagnoses and treatment plans for patients with plastic and reconstructive surgical conditions.
  • Provides consultative services to other departments and specialties as requested.
  • Performs plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures within the scope of clinical privileges.
  • Manages complex surgical cases and provides appropriate preoperative operative and postoperative care.
  • Supervises and supports fellows residents staff physicians and other junior medical professionals.
  • Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in Plastic Surgery.
  • Participates in clinical research quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in departmental committees and other administrative functions as required.
  • Maintains accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follows all hospital-related policies procedures and patient safety standards.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Graduate from a recognized and accredited medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of the required training period in Plastic Surgery.
  • Arab Egyptian Jordanian Lebanese or Saudi Board Certification in Plastic Surgery or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship or an equivalent qualification fulfilling the criteria required for a Consultant position.
  • A professional qualification recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is required.
  • Valid DataFlow verification is required.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-Board/Fellowship experience in Plastic Surgery.
  • Current or eligible registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgical conditions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Language
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
