Job Summary

  • Inspect site conditions prior to the commencement of construction activities to verify compatibility with the designed permanent works and identify any obstructions.

  • Photograph document and record the condition of existing properties utilities and structures that may be affected by construction activities.

  • Ensure that existing structures properties utilities and landscaping are adequately protected throughout the construction period.

  • Review materials equipment and products delivered to site for compliance with approved submittals samples and specifications and report any non-conformance.

  • Verify that all materials are properly handled stored and protected in accordance with specifications and manufacturer recommendations.

  • Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure construction is carried out in compliance with Contract Documents approved shop drawings and technical submittals.

  • Prepare and maintain daily site logs inspection reports test records and documentation of work executed in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.

  • Monitor site safety practices and construction progress and report any safety concerns or deviations to the appropriate parties.

  • Assist in the inspection of completed works and preparation of punch lists.

  • Monitor and support start-up testing commissioning and handover activities.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager in support of project objectives.


Qualifications :

  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in civil construction inspection within building projects preferably in a consultant-led environment.

  • Knowledge of construction standards codes and specifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings specifications and method statements.

  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
